COMICBOOK.COM FEATURES “GODZILLA 8MM”
The fan-made horror short popped up online courtesy of Danny Donahue. The writer and director took to Blender 3D with a team of artists to create Godzilla 8mm. The found-footage short unpacks an analog take on Godzilla that is horrifying, and netizens are rightfully obsessed.
KAIJU UNITED FEATURES “GODZILLA 8MM”
The latest one, simply titled Godzilla 8mm – Found Footage / Analog Horror, showcases an archival audio tape recorded by a journalist in which she talks to a scientist that witnessed (and captured on 8mm film) Godzilla himself. The tape, of course, was confiscated by the United States government, but like all great conspiracies… the truth is out there.
COMICBOOK.COM FEATURES FOUND FOOTAGE GODZILLA CLIP
The Blair Witch Project may have popularized the genre, but found footage has come a long way since the film's launch. For decades now, filmmakers have tried their hand at the medium, and it has bloomed with horror lovers. Now, writer-director Danny Donahue has given the world a peek at what Godzilla might look like in a found footage film, and it is nothing short of perfection.
FIRST SHOWING FEATURES “HELL CREEK”
Run!! This sci-fi short film was first released earlier this year, but we're catching up with it now thanks to the YouTube channel DUST featuring it this week. Hell Creek is a 6-minute action thriller short film made by Danny Donahue. He stars in, writes, and directs, and even learned 3D animation to create this short entirely in his own spare time. Awesome!!
GIZMODO FEATURES “HELL CREEK”
Back in 2020, we shared filmmaker Danny Donahue’s Evil Dead-evoking horror short Beast of Prey. He’s got a new one with a killer logline: “a time traveler is hunted by a dinosaur,” and it’s surely worth stopping what you’re doing to spend the next few minutes immersed in Hell Creek. Check it out!
IO9/GIZMODO FEATURES “BEAST OF PREY
“Beast of Prey, a new horror short from filmmaker Danny Donahue, runs just around three and a half minutes, and it’ll hook you in immediately. // Frankly, we’re a sucker for anything that evokes the Evil Dead universe, especially when we’re not expecting it.”

“In need of a coffee break or just have three minutes to spare? Well, that’s all the time we need to scare the heck out of you! Check out THE MOONLIGHT MAN, directed by Danny Donahue.”
AIN'T IT COOL NEWS FEATURES "THE MOONLIGHT MAN"
“Our next short comes our way from filmmaker Danny Donahue. It's fun, and includes just about every beat you'd expect to see in a horror film. While there's nothing necessarily revolutionary in the short, it's fun and very much well done. Well shot, with boat loads of fun jump scares, and a pretty neat creature design. "A girl walking alone at night is stalked by a long fingered-man in the shadows." I really like the short's monster and would be interested in seeing what more Danny has planned with its future. Absolutely click on over to Danny's website to see what else he's created!”
HORROR SOCIETY FEATURES "THE MOONLIGHT MAN"
“Still trying to digest your Thanksgiving dinner? This three minute short from Danny Donahue is sure to get your blood pumping! The Moonlight Man follows a young woman walking to her car late at night as she’s stalked by a mysterious figure with long fingers. It’s kind of like The Owl-Man legend only scarier and more modern. While the lead actress isn’t named, Philip Kreyche plays the mysterious figure. Danny Donahue wrote and directed The Moonlight Man with producer Casey Fichtner as producer. It’s got great camera work and the potential to become a feature film. Check it out below!”
